CARAN D'ACHE'S TRUNK

 

Caran d’Ache unveils the world’s most complete artist’s trunk. An innovative and unique creation for an unusual purpose.

 

In order to present the fruits of a labour over 80 years, this artist’s trunk - the only one in existence - has been specially designed to contain all the company’s fine arts materials.

 

This trunk  sets new records in many ways. Building it took three months of intense craftsmanship; 13m² of vegetable-tanned hide in the famous Tuscany tradition and more than 1220 shining nickel nails were needed to produce its exclusive finish. With large compartments and special housings for sheets of paper and canvases, this sumptuous trunk weighs 200kg and stands 1.6m high. It is truly unique.

 

The attention to detail is amazing. 18 easy-opening drawers with automatic stops provide space for some 1000 products. Each one is luxurious, colourful and sensuous. This astonishing colour mosaic displays the ranges that have helped to build the worldwide popularity of Caran d’Ache, such as Museum, Neoart, Supracolour, Neopastel and Neocolor. It includes an easel, a folding stool with a padded leather seat, a painting smock and belt, brushes, varnishes, mixers and other accessories.
